Childplace, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency established in 1966, providing multiple treatment options for our abandoned, abused, and/or neglected children and adolescents in need. Over the last 45 years, Childplace has provided residential care for over 2,000 children and adolescents, placed over 300 children in adoptive homes, and provided thousands of hours counseling to individuals and families. The Childplace Residential Treatment and Foster Care Services provide long-term residential care for children and adolescents who have been removed from their homes due to issues of abuse, neglect, and/or other chaotic issues. The Bales Cottage for Girls, located on the Childplace Campus, provides a positive environment for a girl to live during her pregnancy, and frequently, for the days, weeks, and even months following the birth of her baby. Childplace Adoption Services works with birth moms from Indiana and Kentucky, and having placed children in 30 States, Childplace has worked with families all across the country. Childplace Adoption Workers provide counseling, support, and answers to questions about adoption to women struggling with an unplanned pregnancy and families who are considering adoption. Childplace Counseling Services has a team of professionally licensed counselors and the services of a psychiatrist. In addition to providing services for the children and families associated with the residential and foster care programs, Childplace Counseling Services provides a place of hope and healing for numerous individuals (children and adults) and families from the community. Over the last four decades, Childplace has witnessed significant changes in the needs of children and families. To address the struggle’s of today’s at-risk youth, Childplace provides focused interventions and specialized treatment for children and families, and during the last 40 years the constant has been the desire to provide a place of hope and healing for children and families. Our mission states, “Childplace exists to serve children at risk by meeting their needs and equipping them for life in a spirit of Christian love.”
