Changing The World, One Life At A Time Exit 0 is a ministry that feeds the homeless in both the southern part of Indiana (6 nights a week) and in Louisville, Kentucky (1 night a week). We are not based out of a church, but many churches volunteer, on different nights of the week, by preparing and serving food. (1600 meals a month) But, it's not just food we serve... we also serve an overwhelming amount of love through nurturing relationships. It's not as much about the food itself as it is about the fellowship with our homeless friends. Most of the people we help either live in tents or under bridges and are elderly or have disabilities. They have various reasons for choosing the streets over a shelter. Our primary goal is to get them off of the streets, but we respect the wishes of those who choose not to leave the streets. We also do everything we can to help them acquire jobs or assistance. Many see Exit 0 as a local mission field; an opportunity to show Christ's love. One major thing we stress is that we are not there to judge, we are there to love. As Billy Graham once said... “It's God's job to judge, the Holy Spirit's job to convict, and it's my job to love.” It's as simple as that. We are attempting to change the world, one life at a time. I close with this Scripture “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” - Matthew 25:40. May God bless our brothers and sisters on the street, and all those who serve them.
