project description:

Volunteers needed to help with landscaping at this Habitat Home.

We will serve by assisting Habitiat for Humanity in New Albany with one of their homes. Habitiat homes are built with the hands of volunteers. Normally, that would be nuts. But we're Habitat. And you can help.

Take approximately 20 minutes to view Habitat's safety video before arriving on site. Click on the adorable fellas on the left to watch. We promise, it's time well spent! (There will also be a short tool box talk and safety briefing when you arrive on-site).

Show up ready to work hard, be safe, and have fun!  Bring some water, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes; work boots are best if you have them.

about this mission:

New Albany/Floyd County Habitat for Humanity is a locally-organized affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.  Habitat for Humanity is a Christian ministry which seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.  Habitat homes are sold at cost to carefully-selected low-income homebuyers with zero-interest mortgages.

what to bring:

All volunteers must sign a waiver prior to working at the Habitat site.  Volunteers under 18 must have their parents complete an additional waiver for minors.  A copy of the waiver will be sent to you after you register on both the ServeDay website and the Habitat website.
