This is a great project especially for mom and kids to make no-sew fleece blankets that will be dontated to children in Nortons Children's Hopital, New Albany.  These blankets will be for babies and boys. 

You'll need to bring your own fleece fabric and a pair of scissors.  

You'll be given instructions on ServeDay on how to make the blanket.  No skills necessary (except for using scissors).

Meet in the Lobby (Atrium) Area of Northside's main building.

about this mission:

The blankets will go with Northside Teams and be distributed to Kosair Children's Hospital

Team TLC is a caring group of volunteers from Northside who monthly visit hospitalized children at Nortons Children's Hospital. The group often takes crafts, games, and gifts as they show the love of Christ to this kids and their families during this difficult time.

what to bring:

Blanket material for GIRLS OR BOYS ages 13 to 21.  TLC has a surplus inventory of younger kid's blankets. Yeah God!

Two coordinating pieces of any fleece suitable for a boy.

 - for a baby or toddler, purchase 1 to 1 1/2 yards (in each of two fabrics)

 - for a child, purchase 1-3/4 yards (in each of two fabrics)

         - for a teen or adult, purchase 2 yards (in each of two fabrics)

Also, please bring a good pair of scissors.

If you'd like to bring add'l fleece fabric, please do so! We'd like to make as many blankets as possible!  Feel free to ask for donations from the fabric store to help support the cause.


These blankets will be distributed to the children at various times during the year and annually at the Christmas event.
